    Hi,

Is it possible for a firmware first patched with Universal Firmware Patcher to be then patched for .jnx files ?

You have to navigate to get to the good.

Patchers "JNX Loader Patcher" and "IMG Checks Patcher" do not affect each other. The order of using the patchers does not matter.

sorry for a little off-topic but I just can't figure it out how to enter in pre-boot mode on Edge 1000. I have tried almost every combination with all 3 available buttons..What I have tried:

drag patched.rgn into updater.exe and tick USB than:

    - power off garmin than power it on while holding lower left button than connect USB...nothing, garmin goes into mass storage
    - power off garmin than power it on while holding lower right button than connect USB..nothing, garmin goes into mass storage
    - power off garmin than power it on while holding both buttons than connect USB...nothing, garmin goes into mass storage
    - power off garmin than power it on while holding power button than connect USB...nothing, garmin goes into mass storage

The only thing that was changed is that one of the combo above rested all settings and also deleted all workouts..

ps: garmin drivers are installed, FW 510 pre-installed. I also googled how to enter pre-boot on Edge series but without much success..

@janch: an important detail is the timing, ie, the exact moment to connect the USB cable in the GPS, valid for almost all Garmin GPS.
Pressing and holding the Lap/Reset button, connect the computer's USB cable at the time when you see the Garmin logo.
At that moment the GPS should be recognized by Updater.exe, click OK and wait for installation.

    @janch

For information: No need to use the Updater for your Edge 1000 to install the patched firmware, because its original fw 5.10 does not contain a GVS check.
You can use the patched GCD file directly for flashing.

Thank you all for your suggestions! I'll try asap.
@Cnfhbr if I understand correctly, I can drop pached .gcd directly to webupdater.exe..or how can I patch directly? Sorry for rookie questions, but I'm not so good with Garmin devices...Shame on me!

Yes, easy way is drag and drop it onto WebUpdater with edge connected in MSM. WU will transfer it as gupdate.gcd to the unit and the update will be done on the unit when it's rebooted after disconnection from PC.
