Default HELP: cannot hard reset Garmin EDGE 800

    Hello, i have this Garmin:
    EDGE 800, fw 2.70, Id:removed by Mod
At startup device says: DATABASE ERROR and MEMORY FULL. After boot repeat message MEMORY FULL every 30 sec.
I have applied hard reset three times successfully to clear internal memory register.
But now i cannot hard reset device longer. After Garmin splash screen, when i release Lap/Reset and Start/Stop Keys device hang.
I reach preboot-mode (i see device as storage mass device)
I have tried to downgrade firmware with GarminCure3 but with old firmware device freeze on garmin splash screen.
I have reload fw 2.70 with GarminCure3 and device boot. But with DATABASE ERROR and MEMORY FULL messages.
I have formatted device and re-installed orginal files (from Garmin Support) but errors remains.
    I have no more ideas...
Can someone please help me to clear internal registry memory of my Edge 800?
    Thanx a lot
    Carlo

    Cure can't boot,
but if pc sees the device and you have a files backup you can try to format it, but this time with.
[Only registered and activated users can see links. ]
create a Garmin directory in formatted edge ,then reinstall original firmware by Updater.exe in preboot.
Restart and put back your backup after removing files which may have create the problem.

    Hello,
RMPrepUSB fails format FAT32 with "ERROR: FAT32 must be a least 263MB. Use FAT16 instead. Strange thing..
I have formatted with FAT16, reinstalled last firmware 2.70 and original software backup.
But i have same errors: Database Error and Memory Full. And hard reset not working again...
I think that some internal memory area of my Edge is corrupted or inaccessible. Re-install firmware is not sufficient to clean all memory and/or register.
    Any idea?
    Thank you

Try to downgrade to an old firmware, it will clear NV completely.
After formatting have you checked if is it really formatted or if there are any files left?
Does your backup contain personal data like courses or similar?
What happened before you got that message ?

I already tried to downgrade with 2.40 and 2.60 firmware. But with old firmware edge hang on initial Garmin splash screen.
I have formatted with diskpart too (FAT32)... without any positive results.
With firmware 2.7 Edge boot regularly, but immediately say "DATABASE ERROR". Then say "MEMORY FULL" every 20-30 seconds. GPS start but not record any data.
With old firmware Edge remains on initial splash screen... Boh..

Do you mean you already tried to load 2.40 modified firmware by kunix's cure, formatted with RMPrepUSB and then you reloaded original fw 2.40?
I ask because kunix's cure cant boot, it's made to make Windows to see the device in case of bricked units and when cant delete offending files preventing to start the device normally.

No, i formatted with RMPrepUSB and then i reloaded original fw 2.40 directly (though GarminCure3 utility). I have no problem to send my EDGE in pre-boot mode (mass-storage mode) with ON + Lap/Reset Keys, so i don't tried to load 2.40 modified firmware by kunix's cure. Sorry for my english...
