Nuvi 2455 Problem after stuck in loading maps
Hello
I have a Nuvi 2455 with the known problem "Loading Maps" stuck! After many tries with cure3 etc etc and the computer to not recognise the Garming device , i managed to erase the Firmware? Now I boot my nuvi and says System Software Missing. Tha is because Updater.exe was making the recognition , the erasing of the firmware but when it was going to update and write the firmware the device was Reseting alone..
How can i fix it please? i spend to many hours looking and looking but nowone has a solution to tell me...
I tried cure3 , updater.exe , webupdater etc ...EVERYTHING..is there any way to write the firmware again ? When updater tries to update the firmware the device reboot and appears the message on my computer " Garmin Device interface is set to Garmin or Host" .
I am doing the pre-boot but still nothing...
Any idea?

Already did all that till the step with update.exe... As you can see stucks there.. Updating and then this message... And in the device i see a Garmin logo and a text "Software Loading ... "....

Please try with another USB cable.
Be sure to have the latest USB Garmin drivers.
Try with a pc running XP

Recently I have been busy trying to unbrick a zumo 220 and initially got the same message from Updater. After many attempts I finally succeeded to flash FW via Updater. Another USB cable or another Operating System may indeed help also.

What did the trick for me was to re-load CURE firmware a few times until I could finally load ORIGINAL firmware. I have no cogent explanation why this happened.Last edited by smokefree; 20th November 2014 at 06:01 PM. Reason: Additional info
