    Went through the [Only registered and activated users can see links. ], but the current (hopefully temporary!) layout of the index is not very easy to read. Anyway, I was unable to find more info about how to backup rgn16 & rgn41, nor info about how to flash a logo (I do know how to flash FW with WebUpdater). A bit more guidance would be welcome here. Thanks in advance.

    Edit:
    Just found rgn41 backup here: [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]
    What's the difference between rgn41 and rgn16?

    Region 41 is your NVRAM (Settings, Favorites etc and a lot more data) I call it the Nuvi's registry.
    Region 16 is the logo.bin file. (First Spash screen when the Nuvi boots) it has a part number embeded in it as well.

    Backing up region 16 is exactly the same as backing up region 41 except that you type in 16 instead of 41.

    example of update.txt

    rrgn,41,1:/41.bin
    rrgn,16,1:/16.bin
    reboot

    @smokefree
    Here's another kit for backing up 16 & 41.
    Spoiler: Backup regions kit
    [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]

    Extract it onto a clean SD. After you flash it [turn nuvi fully off, insert SD and reboot then wait until it finishes completely before removing the SD], check that the 2 bin files 16.bin and 41 bin are in the root and there is a new text file created in the 0827 folder named 'update.log'. Open it to ensure it reads:

    Parsing "rrgn,41,1:/41.bin"
    Success
    Parsing "rrgn,16,1:/16.bin"
    Success
    Parsing "reboot"

    If you have the two files and success in the log file then proceed to flash the 2x5W logo via SD.

    Normal indices layout has been fixed today with board update, sorry for the inconvenience!

    Loly sent me a ZIP file with contents to be placed on an SD card, automating the whole procedure. It couldn't be easier and it worked! My nüvi 250W is now traffic capable.

    Garmin, how much is 30 pieces of silver for Judas today? Were they worthy for crucifix of GPSPower?

    Accept apology from old man. I meant Photo Navigation! Do you see "go to location" marker on Waypoint picture if you attach the picture to Favorite (it must be done for Garmin waypoints for example)?

    Interesting, i'd long suspected that Garmin had intentionally crippled the 250W HWID 0827 by flashing the original logo used on 2xxW HWID 0737 or some modded version of it.

    @smokefree
    Would you be so kind as to upload your original logo 16.bin so we can compare to the standard logo for 2xxW hwid0737?

    Haha Loly, you're too modest as always. I just had a lucky idea, and as usual you did all the real work ....

    @Giomen
    I think smokefree's 250W will now function exactly as a 255W, even could be converted to 465T [minus BT of course] probably without issues.
