    Ummm, maybe not good. I guess you mean by 'everything is there' that you have an empty file 41_backup.bin [0 KB], right? If so, try again but first remove the file named last_id.bin from 0972 folder [the command won't run with that file present].

    If it still doesn't say 'success' in the log file, let's try to copy the GPX folder. Change the command in update.txt to:
    copydir,0:/GPX,1:/GPX
    reboot

    Just do the same as before in preboot, making sure last_id.bin is not present before you attempt the flash.

    Also try the simplest version of the command rrgn,41,1:/41.bin
    Make sure that ldr.bin is your current boot.bin renamed.

    Dasil, you'll confuse him. He's failed totally with using a conventional backup of 41 with ldr.bin in the 0972 folder. He's now doing it with a modded boot.bin as an RGN file flashed in preboot and it is the same version of his [previously current] boot.bin but modded [0C 80 A0 E1 replaced with 0C 80 A0 E3].

    No harm in changing 'backup_41.bin' to simply '41.bin' though.

    No, that's not big enough. It should be 4096KB.

    Back it up somewhere secure then remove it from the card and please try again as suggested in Post 42. Don't forget to remove last_id.bin as well.

    You weren't in preboot if you see the green line. That's the unit attempting to go into Mass Storage Mode. If you wait too long in preboot before flashing or let go of the screen it will do that. I assume the unit didn't actually go to MSM and was still not recognised by your PC or you'd have said so.

    Try again with the original command for region 41 backup, following the step-by-step i posted. Ensure that in update.txt you have no spaces before, after or within the command and no carriage returns either. Copy and paste this if not sure, but check that you paste it properly with no space or return as i said:
    rrgn,41,1:/41_backup.bin
    reboot

    Ensure last_id.bin is deleted from 0972 folder too.

    If he have error or if he stop process before finish he will only success scan again if he create empty update.log beside update.txt and remove last_id.bin

    @Neil

    Create him a pack for copy gpx folder to SD and then delete reg 41 and we will finish this saga.
