I've just taken a look at the video. When USB cable is connected your device shows the power icon at the top right corner. This means that this USB cable is detected as a service USB cable or as a charger cable. This is the reason why your device doesn't want to go into the mass storage mode.
The cables mentioned above have some resistance (~47 KOhm for service USB, for example) between GND and ID pins of mini USB connector (see
[Only registered and activated users can see links. Click Here To Register...]), while normal USB cable doesn't have any conductivity between GND and ID.
I think your device has some problems with USB hardware. Maybe there is some parasite conductivity between GND and ID pins of mini USB socket.
If you can't resolve this hardware problem you can use QuickCure3 for entering the mass storage mode from pre-boot mode. It doesn't require flashing CURE firmware and reverting to the ORIGINAL after that.
