If your device has no access to Mass Storage Mode to be seen by the PC because the USB socket is damaged or it's connections to the board are faulty, then you won't be able to use preboot either. However, if your device is 'bricked' and therefore can't be seen in mass storage you will need to load cure firmware to it [Only registered and activated users can see links. ].

To gain preboot, have the nuvi completely off (not in standby) hold the upper left-hnd corner of the screen and plug in to USB to power it on. [Only registered and activated users can see links. ].

i use kaspersky internet security on pc, when i connected nuvi whit pc, kaspersky deleted some file on my nuvi, and then i connect nuvi into pc again, it not recoginize my nuvi

You'll need to load cure firmware to get MSM back, reformat and then reload original firmware. Read the GarminCure3 thread I linked.

To go to the calibration screen, the nuvi 40 first has to be in preboot mode. It doesn't stay very long in preboot so have the cure firmware already loaded into Updater.exe before you connect in preboot. Read this thread too: [Only registered and activated users can see links. ].

PS: Kaspersky is very good but sometimes it will mistake very valid files as malicious. I only use Windows Defender in Win 10 now.

Your video shows the nuvi is trying to connect in Mass Storage Mode, fails to do so and then defaults to normal booting.

In your screenshot of Updater.exe, I cannot see that you even have the device connected to PC, or if it was previously connected then it's exited preboot before you did anything.

Please make sure you are trying to load appropriate firmware, have you checked the HWID of your device? Asian versions of nuvi 40/50 are different to US/EU which is HWID 1350. Look here: [Only registered and activated users can see links. ].

This might be easier for you. Once you've made sure you're using the correct firmware to make the cure, with the device turned on with the main screen showing ("Where To?/Map"), hold the battery symbol for ~6 seconds to enter a hidden menu. The device should then show in Windows but only under Device Manager as 'Garmin Device' and it will be in preboot indefinitely until you exit that menu. Drag your RGN file onto Updater.exe and it should instantly show the device details, click the radio button for 'USB Device' then click 'OK' to start the flash.
