You certainly aren't alone!
I also had several shutdowns (display slowly fading out) while just playing around with some apps.

You are sending Garmin your system.xml files, right?
Yes, I've send Garmin my detailed reports many times but I never get any answer.
They should reply with bugs fixing ;)
I remember 62 was buggy too at the beginning, must wait patiently, probably Oregon 600 Os is more tricky, but I'm sure they will fix it.
Oregon 600 is a great device. :)
I'm beginning to loose my faith. They have been working with firmware for 6 months or even longer by now and still freezings, crashes etc.Quote:

Outdoor segment users are more demanding, they always had faith and bought Garmin devices, if Gamin fails with Oregon 6xx it wont be a good sign for this company. Not sure how many customers will buy a Garmin outdoor again.
Outdoors devices are for people who need a reliable and trustworthy device. You can use a phone instead of a Nuvi, but you cant use a phone to go mountaineering in Nepal or to cross a desert.
We have some autos that cost more than 33333 dollars but with symptoms like Oregon 600. And that about our faith? You are where from?Quote:

Do we have a choice? It's the maps why we are buying Garmin handhelds. As to the bugs - not a news. It took about 2 years before my old Dacota became more or less smooth :)Quote:

Exactly, those who say 'next time I'll buy a Magellan' don't realize that Garmin's Topo maps are unique, no other brand can match them, they are 10 years behind or only offer some third party raster maps.Quote:
