Hi guys!
I personally hate it that garmin reduces the features of the quatix/fenix by software.
Is there any possibility to merge the firmware of the two clocks?
I`ve a good know how in programming but I don`t have any in hacking/re-engineering firmwares.
Maybe there are some people who think the same way and we`ll find some possibilities..

Please keep on your program.
Sorry, only EU data. Maybe some one with a US Quatix can share this with us.Quote:

About these tide data maps:
Quote:
The quatix is a marine watch designed for fishing, sailboat racing, and general marine use. One of the functions it has is a tide database. This database is region specific:
◦The United States version of the quatix is pre-programmed with North American tides only
◦The United Kingdom and Australian versions will not have tides for North America, but will have them for the rest of the world.
One Question.
If you flash the quatix image on a fenix for instance. If something goes wrong, is the firmware flash mode on the watch still available?
What I mean is, how big is the possibility to brick the device?
tia
I own a Fenix China. Due to the laziness of Garmin China's developers, I tried to flash it to a US/EU version firmware to enable new functions. Now I flashed it in Quatix. My experience is that the flashing between Quatix<->Fenix is reversible, and there is no way back to China version. But it's for a normal Fenix, I'm not sure for a gone-wrong one.Quote:

That sounds good.
And in the Garmin Connect/Dashboard it recognizes the fenix/quatix flashed watch as different watches?
Do you flash with Garmin Updater and change the HWID of the images with RGN Tool?
1,Garmin Communicator Plugin, connect.garmin.com, mapsource, homeport and basecamp on PC all read it as a Quatix; but my.garmin.com shows Fenix(not Fenix China).Quote:

2, yes.
Has anyone tried to flash the Quatix with the new 4.01 Beta release of the fenix firmware?
I hope quatix gets some more features too. Not only fenix/d2/tactix
