Hello friends! I just found this info and successfully upgraded my Nüvi 40 to Nüvi 42. Very nice! No new features as far as I've seen yet but very cool new menus and icons so I think I'll keep the 42 firmware. Only problem should be future updates. Where can I find and download these? Running WebUpdate reverts back to latest version of Nüvi 40 firmware.... Anyway, big thanks to all contributors here. :)

Garmin has not yet posted any production version fw updates for 42/52 as yet:

AFAIK nobody has flashed full x2 fw to a x0 device. Like 34x0 fw to 39x0 hw that may work fine, or it may brick your unit. Best to keep using x0 boot bin, unless you would like to try the full x2 fw, that is? ;) I think i'll wait until a Software Expert has looked more closely at loading addresses etc.
While your HWID is still 1350 (x0), WebUpdater will always offer you that fw, not for HWID 1595 (x2).
Yesterday I bought Nuvi 150T which did not work properly when connected to computer or charger(screen went dark),just on battery it worked fine.In preboot mode Updater shows Nuvi 2xx5.I returned it back to Nuvi 150 and now everything works as intended.Next I tried to activate traffic service,no success.It stays for hour checking activation code.Any ideas how to do that,if possible of course.
Did it come with a Traffic Receiver ? Twin Cable Car Charger with Small Box in cable ?

It has original charger TA 20,traffic menu is active but when entering activation code(for Europe) the screen shows that check activation code and nothing happens.I tried it a few times,even with sattelite reception,but no result.GTM 25 works well,but shows that subscription will be on traffic cable connected,not on built-in receiver.It's my first experience with this model and information is very few.
