    But if you run updater.exe in advance and the USB driver is already fully installed (windows seven, for example, installs something additionally when the device is connected for the first time), then a few seconds is enough to press the "OK" button.
    Maybe you should keep pressing some buttons or release some buttons to let the USB update process continue.
    I've never seen the device, so I can only vaguely speculate.

    Yes, but if i want to use updater.exe, this program completly takes control of USB connection. Erasing memory takes about 2 - 3 seconds (no progress bar) and USB connection disapear and after a while is showing up. Updater proceeds to the next step - updating. The progress bar moves to the end and finally I have message:
    "The Garmin device is unable to program the requested memory region. It could be due to an incompatibility between this application and the Garmin device."
    During upload software, the unit is showing SOFTWARE LOADING on the screen. After an update returns LOADER LOADING message.

    @lolypop000
    No prompt message. Immediately LOADER LOADING message.

    Try flashing this RGN and also try GarminCure3-ing with this RGN. I've removed region 0x66 which could cause the "unable to program the requested memory region" message. Also I've changed all GCD file names inside.

    Yuppiii;-) Kunix we have really big progress. After flashing Your RGN I have full access to the Garmin disc. Is visible on my PC again. First I was cleaned the mess on the Garmin disc. Next I tried to upload correct firmware. In this point I get the same message "The Garmin device is unable to program the requested memory region." The procedure:
    1. Original update.gcd I drag into input file.
    2. Select ORIGINAL and Make Firmware
    3. Run Updater.exe
    After that the message as above.

    Below I attached photos how the navi looks like now.

    With iso burner write this image on empty CD with 2, 4 or 8x speed

    You dont have icons becouse in pk_files is all pictures in gir_image

    If you have access with PC to your kenwood try to drag/drop gupdate.gcd on webupdater icon and folow wizard.

    Unfortunately, the normal GCD update procesdure won't work with the firmware patched by me, don't even try. You need to replace it first.

    Please do the following:
    0) Remove all the GUPDATE.GCD files from the internal flash drive.
    1) Load the original 3.50 GCD with RGN_Tool; set the firmware version equal to 3.49; clear the mark near the 0x66 region; save the firmware as RGN file; flash the RGN file with updater.exe.
    2) Perform the normal GCD update procedure with the original 3.50 GCD.

    No success this time. WebUpdare returns error.

    @kunix
    Steps:
    0. Done
    1. Done
    2. I tried via Web Updater - I got the message - device returned the error state while receiving data packets. - This is my translation from Polish.
    So, next shoot - I prepared rgn file from original gcd with RGN Tool. No changes inside, only opening gcd and save as rgn. After that I got from updater.exe - "The Garmin device is unable to program the requested memory region."
    On the screen still squares. PC connection availabe.
