    Tool Transform a Nuvi 2x5 in a Aera 5xx?

Hello everyone! I have an old garmin nuvi 255w and i was thinking if it is possible to convert it into a Garmin Aera 5XX or somthing similar.
Does exist the way to make a Cure or install aera firmware to the nuvi 2X5w?
I thought in garmin aera firmware, but it could be any aeronautical garmin software.

    Thank you mates!

Not possible sorry. PCB P/Ns are different. See: [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]. (Aera 5xx firmware contains PCB P/N 105-01452-10 and PCB PN 105-01452-02). Without matching PCB P/Ns conversions will fail and maybe even brick the device. You may have success with a zumo 66x which which does share those PCB P/Ns.

No problem. A word of caution if you do find a zumo 660/665 to try that conversion. Some zumo 660 have P/N 105-01452-00 which likely won't convert, other 660 and 665 with 01452-10 or 01452-02 might work for conversion. Regardless matching PCBs are only an indication of conversion, mismatching are a definite no-go. Keep the original HWID and use the boot.bin of the donor device is safest but less certain conversion method. Good luck.
