    Are you on a network when you are attempting to remove this virus?

    Also, regardless of networked or not, the Kaspersky removal tool I linked for you in post # 14, what did the tool say after it was run and finished?

    Not positive low-levelling the nuvi will help as the computers virus is actively searching any USB to infect and spread. So once plugged back in the virus would just re-infect.

    yes tried with hdd low level format and hangs on the 21% of the process, i think the best shot is try with the sd, apparently there is no software at the moment that solves the problem

    no i'm not in a lan , but i try all the process to remove the virus, boot on safe mode, boot on linux and nothing change at all , i think the virus is on the internal memory , i dont know how because the guys tells that the garmin is running propietary system. I'm very angry

    Well try again with sd card and look i delete all the files in the folder Text and Garmin/gmapbmap.img all with success but when i turn on the nuvi the folder exist again and the files, i think the memory is corrupted and nothing can't change, i'll remeber one time i go to the diagnostic screen of the nuvi (pressing battery for 5 seconds i think) and the ram test was passed and the rom test fail

    Try with this in rar in pre boot:

    [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]

    Process from folder repair will take about 15 min.

    Format your Nuvi in FAT32 and you problem gone.

    Look at the picture on below link and set your RMPRepUSB the same like is in picture below and then try to format.

    this is for hwid 827 and my hwid is 1091. Is correct to update without damage the nuvi?

    i follow the instruccion but the problem stills look at this video the process hangs on 50% and if you check the folder of usb its empty until replug and all appears again:

    My Nuvi been infect virus before, What I have done.
    Right Click the Garmin Drive, Select "Format", tick "Quick format", and Click OK, Not even 20 sec, finished format the Garmin drive and virus is gone.
