Smile [BRILLIANTLY SOLVED] Garmin Nuvi 3760 - Bricked?

Hello to everybody, today I was reverting back my 3760 to original firmware after the conversion to 3490 using gupdate in pre-boot mode. During the first phase of firmware update, the unit suddently went off and since then is unresponsive. Screen is black and it seems not able to turn on.
Is there any way to bring it life?

    Regards, Rodrigo

Bring your 3760 to a dark room and see if the screen is not absolutely black as you think then you have a chance to access preboot mode.
The area for finger pressing to access preboot is smaller than normal. It is located at left upper Conner. Good luck.
I am sure you will get it back.

Aeshong, you're a genius. I was able to see display retro-illumination light on the display in a dark room and turn it on and off.
I also succeded in getting in pre-boot mode (SYSTEM displayed in the mid of screen). However, updater isn't able to install the firmware by displaying the following message:

The GARMIN device is not responding. Please ensure the following and try again:
    1. The GARMIN device's Interface is set to Garmin or Host mode
    2. The cable is connected to the correct serial port
    3. The GARMIN device is turned on
Garmin device displays "Loading..." and doesn't exit pre-boot mode even when I release the finger from upper left position.

FYI, I cleared non vol stat after performing the first, unlucky 3760 fw installation. I suspect that it reverted MTP mode to Auto and I didn't modify it to storage afterward.

    Any idea how to progress?

    Regards, Rodrigo

Just flash it again for second time. (to flash with original 37xx firmware)
Normally, 34xx will get "system software missing" message when flash it back with 37xx firmware and just force power off then power on and we will get 37xx back.

Yes, if you can't go back to 37xx , you can flash with 34xx fw.
Then you have more time to recheck what's wrong.

It seems that updater isn't able to communicate with the unit. In pre-boot mode, updater recognizes the unit connected through usb but firwmare upload doesn't start and "The GARMIN device is not responding..." message is displayed.

Not sure how to proceed from that point!

Make sure you are not running Lifetime updater program in the background.
