This is Honda GW fw thread, so it's not really the place for that request for StreetPilot fw but you can dl the v4.80 exe file from Garmin:
    Code:
Please Login or Register to see the links
Instruction for installing the fw using the .exe are included at the base of that page.

If you really want it as a GUPDATE.GCD, you can make it yourself. Extract the StreetPilot2610_480.exe file with 7Zip, then convert the 021001000480.rgn file using RGN_Tool and rename the resultant 021001000480.gcd to gupdate.gcd. [Only registered and activated users can see links. ].

Here's one I prepared earlier: [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]. Use at your own risk though

Thank's Neil but it's the correct place.
    Goldwing 1800 gps is a streetpilot 2610 !!!!
RGN tool don't work correctly for this model. When I convert RGN file to GCD file, the gcd file is not recognized by the gps.

    I try your gcd file.

    Hi Neil,

I try your gcd file and it don't work.

    Thank's

I'm not surprised it didn't work. SP 2610 and GW Navis may well be related hardware, but so are a lot of other Garmin units and they still use different fw. As you were looking for a gcd I assume that you were trying to load the SP fw to a GW on the assumption that they are the same unit. That would explain why you didn't want to do it via usb with either the exe or rgn files which GWs are not capable of, but the SP 2610 is. If so, it's just as well your GW unit refused to load the SP fw or it may have bricked. SP 2610 v4.80 is the latest for that unit, but it was released in '06:
    streetpilot2610updatesd
The later GW fw eg v4.60 posted in this thread enables the older 06/07/08 (CF card) units to read NT format maps and is available from Garmin only by purchase of the CF card containing the NT enabling fw and an outdated NTNA map:

    @Tigrou
V4.60 fw is of course the latest offered by Garmin for the MY 2006, 2007, 2008 (CF units) with CNNTNA 2011.10 map, and that's over 2 years old, 2013.20 is due any old tick for NA. The same applies for MY 2009 & 2010 (SD units), dunno what fw version, but the map offered is still 2011.10:
    Code:
Please Login or Register to see the links
I don't have access to a MY 2012, so i have no idea what they are offering for it. You have to 'Insert the SD card into your computer and click the "Scan Now" button' to find out:
    Code:
Please Login or Register to see the links
I guess maybe there'll be another fw release when Garmin decides to offer updated maps for the poor saps with '06-'10 models. For now 4.60 is the latest (at least it is for '06-'08) and if you add any other NTs you screw up the poi search, as documented repeatedly in this thread.

Reading other forums, there is apparently some 'argy-bargy' going on between Garmin & Honda. Posters report getting a more sympathetic hearing from H than from G, but no real action just the runaround 'Ask Garmin' or 'Ask Honda' in answer to the too-hard question 'When are the updates coming?'... we need a guru to figure out how to rig it so the current maps have full search capabilities.

There is a clear step-by-step in Post #1 with the latest fw v4.6 to dl. Follow the tut putting this [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] from roger1109 in the MENA 2013.20 thread onto your CF card with the fw from post #1 here, but only for the GW US model years 2006, 2007 or 2008 which use the CF card. The later models 2009 & 2010 use an SD card and have a different navigation unit - Do not attempt to load the fw from this thread onto the later units.

I'm unsure what you mean by this, maybe you are calling the CF card a 'plugin'?:
I installed the plugin on a mac but everytime I visit the page it asks me to install it again.

I am really confused are we supposed to scan the card using the Garmin software ??
In any case, I suggest you use a windows PC when loading the fw & map onto the CF card. Please read this entire thread, paying very close attention to Post #1. gscott01 has updated the tut and it works well for the 2006-2008 US GWs however the search function using pois is compromised with 'non-official maps' but there are workarounds suggested. If you are still confused, post again with specific details of your problem but only after reading the thread in full. Don't attempt anything until you fully understand what you are doing.

I recommend the Mac and Mac only. Garmin files are written in Unix.

Sure you can use a mac to read/write to FAT, which in one form of another is the default file system for CF cards (and SD, SDHC etc) and more importantly is the only fs which these navi units can understand, but i don't think the last part of your statement should be definitive advice (...and Mac only) considering File Allocation Table is a M$, not a native mac, file system. Horses for courses.

So what are you referring to there, the dot-prefix linux/unix standard files such as '.system' which are hidden by default in the Operating System?

Burial Garmin files in Windows I think it is very bad. I think that you have the appropriate software. Windows leaves a visible marks that could affect the Garmin malfunction. Action on these files in Linux or Mac does not do it (I'm not talking about user error).

I once had a Honda Goldwing 2007, now I have a new 2012 and everything I did / do in Linux or a Mac, and I've never had problems.
