It looks like RGN_Tool can't help us, as it doesn't detect rgn11.bin region number properly and we can't set it manually.
But we can use one of my private utilities, called gfw.exe.
In order to make a GCD file with the dumped American voice inside do the following:
Create a folder somewhere and call it BUILD.
Copy any original GCD file that suits your device to the BUILD folder and call it gupdate-org.gcd. Copy gfw.exe, gfwdump.exe, and gfwdump.bin to the BUILD folder.
Open cmd.exe and make sure the current folder is BUILD.
Run the following command line: gfw.exe unpack gupdate-gcd.gcd. This command will unpack the GCD file and produce the following files: 0008--0109-01CC.bin, 02BD--0109-01CC.bin, 0515--0109-01CC.bin.
Those files are named as follows: section number in GCD--HWID in GCD-version in GCD.bin, where all numbers are written in HEX.
Section 0008 is boot.bin. Section 02BD is fw_all.bin. Section 0515 contains some small map.
Delete 02BD--0109-01CC.bin and 0515--0109-01CC.bin, as you need only 0008--0109-01CC.bin (boot.bin) in this case.
Run gfwdump dump gfwdump.bin . in order to extract the dumped regions.
Rename rgn11.bin to 0511--0109-01CC.bin.
Why exactly this name? It's easy. HWID and version should be the same as boot.bin's ones. And 0x5XY is a generic GCD section number for any region 0xXY, except a few regions like 0x0C (boot.bin) and 0x0E (fw_all.bin) which have their specific GCD section numbers.
Run gfw.exe bldfldr . . . in order to pack those .BIN files to GCD and RGN file. gupdate.gcd will be created, which is what you wanted.

Honda Goldwing GL1800 Navi firmware 4.7 I have new maps but I need the 4.7 version to eliminate the GPS from flashing the street names, jumping and reloading maps.... Does anyone have the 4.7 firmware file?
Mod Note: Moved to existing thread. Thanks for 4.70 fw, post #1 and title updated.

Is the 4.7 the most current Goldwing FW?

G'day branzman, welcome to Noeman. I moved your post here from another thread. You'll find V4.70 right above your post if you need it, and yes, it is the latest and Garmin sell a CF card with the fw update to V4.70 together with the NA map version 2013.10 originally issued about 2 years back and compiled with map data ~3 years old. All that for the measly sum of 95 bucks my friend, but you probably already know how well the Goldwing community has been 'serviced' [as in screwed] in recent years by Garmin and Honda in regard to the Navi units.
Verify. 4.70 is for CF cards models 2006-2008 AND does it fix the POI search or is it still greyed out?

It has Hardware Identification [HWID] 0265. It's therefore correct for 2006-2008 but I'm sure it doesn't fix the POI search problem. Untested personally however.

If you install any map not supplied by either garmin or honda for the 2006 - 2008 gl1800 you will lose the POI function.

I tried the 4.7 update on my 2007 bike and it only gets to the word "Loader". Waited at least 5 minutes and it did nothing. Reinstalled the 4.6 and that is still my firmware. Either this 4.7 firmware isn't the real deal (a fake) or Garmin made the software bike specific where it will only work on the bike it was intended for. Here is all I got to. check the image I sent. I think it is option #2. I think the GCD file is good.
It's definitely not fake. Your 2007 is a US 'wing with the OEM nav unit it's HWID is 0265 and therefore should it accept the upgrade. I don't think the firmwares are incremental so you should be able to load 4.7 over anything lower than 4.6 but you could try do it in steps if you have 4.5 or lower in case the updates aren't cumulative. Maybe you need to reset it as described in [Only registered and activated users can see links. Click Here To Register...] of this thread. All at your own risk of course.

Unfortunately, mine failed to put the reset switch on it. I looked. Where the reset hole is, there is nothing there.
How long does it take to install? As I stated, I waited 5 minutes and that screenshot is all it did. It just stayed there indefinitely!
