Uh, I didn't know this and I've no idea of what we will find. I am not alone and we will proceed according to what we will find.

Some update, the actual sd in use is a 4 gb hc with the same sys.bin file, only the gmapsupp.img and gmapprom.unl are updated.
The firmware is V 2.30.
@ carlinux i just want to remove the warning message, because appear even when the navi is not in use.
(2006-2008 navi can be shut down, 2009-2010 not, so it's on also when you display the audio system screen)
@all
how a gupdate file can be build?
I want to build a gupdate modified file for v 2.30, from where i can start?
I think i will need some basis on ARM architechture...
Hi pharmaweb hi have the 2.30 firmware?
if so you can put it to download?
I have some friends who want to return to the previous 2.60
regards
spanish:
Hola parmaweb tienes el firmware 2.30?
si es asi puedes ponerlo para descargar?
Tengo algun amigo que quiere retornar de la 2.60 a la anterior
Saludos
If you have sys.bin file exposed then this is probably the main firmware. You can load it with IDA (Interactive Disassembler) and [Only registered and activated users can see links. He's not the only one. Both some people want to downgrade from 2.60 to 2.30 and some other from 4.60 to 4.50. In any cases to 4.31.Quote:

It could be useful to know why your friend want to roll back.
@ Kunix
Thank you very much, i will try it.
@ErMonter
I have the sys.bin file not the gupdate.gcd. Moreover mine is a V2.30 from a US version unit MY 2009 that is different from 2006-08 units.
If you need it i will upload it.
The problem with the new firmware, whether America or Europe, is that reset on long trips and go very slow route calculation, as well as the impossibility of seeking Poi by name.
Even with version 2013.41 maps tell me that is not reset both

Aunque con la version de mapas 2013.41 me indican que no se resetea tanto
Hello you can upload the sys.bin we see it?
The firmware starts the v.4xx American and European by v.2xx.
The gps of 2006-8 and 2009 are different because they use CF or SD cards, but the firmware seems to be the same.

I've tried to implement a region dumper based on boot.bin taken from firmware from the first post: [Only registered and activated users can see links. Click Here To Register...]
It should save regions 0x0E, 0x11, 0x13 as rgn0x0E.bin (and so on) on CF card and then reboot immediately.
It shouldn't break anything, as it doesn't flash any regions, but I'm not sure 100%, of course.

First of all, thanks a lot. Firmware on the first post comes from an USA model but i am pretty sure this is identical to the european. As you're not 100% sure about damages, I will test your dumper on next saturday in my second unit and only in positive case I will try on an european with an SD card.Quote:

Do I need to override HWID and SW Version before dumping?
