    Reformat with RMPrepUSB.

    Do I need to remove the SD card?

    Do you set in prep usb to non bootable, MS dos, Fat32 and Boot as FDD and then click on Prepare Drive?

    Do you have on your empty device folder garmin and inside garmindevice.xml?

    The Only way to remove the cure is to flash the Nuvi or Zumo in pre-boot mode again with original firmware.
    This is due to the cure not been bootable and not being able to flash the device using Gupdate.gcd from internal memory or SD Card.
    Try to create an empty folder named Garmin and do not put back any other files.

    @jaru1
    How did you load Cure fw if Updater.exe doesn't see your device? Are you sure you have loaded Cure? Can you get into preboot mode?
