Better discharge the battery and remove it. Wait to drain out and put it back.

P.P.: Better if you wish wait kunix or Alexander's reply.

Just don't panic and keep eye on the topic. By this way, hopefully, the boot loader may "wake up" when you again connect it to a power supply. It has such tendency. I have read it on a couple of places in internet and seems to be working.

Of course first try voyagers' suggestion and lets say leave it for a while to charge (or nor) don't think it matters much, to rest, then by holding the power button (30+ seconds) connect it to the USB cable of the PC.

    Dear Alexander2010.

These are the test which I have done in the week end:
    1. Charged all day and tried to switch on, the result still not powering up.
    2. open the unit, disconnected battery from the system board and put it back. Tried to switch on, the result still not powering up.
    3. Charged all day after disconnect the battery. Tried to switch on and still not powering up.
    4. Connected to PC thru USB. Tried to switch on and still not powering up.

I guess my nuvi is Rest In Peace now

    You can try this:

If you have SD card, remove it from nuvi and try turn on nuvi or if you dont have SD add it in nuvi.

Connect nuvi on power in car.

Connect nuvi to pc and hold power button about 60 second

    p.s.
When you disconnect battery you must whait about 5-10 min before you connect back.
I try this on old nuvi whit satellite problem with no signal,no satellite lock (205,660,350..) after 10 min when i connect battery back all nuvi lock satellite and work.

I can not understand why 1260 died. I checked last night that the firmware on the 1210 HWID 971, and it successfully restored the device.

Dear Alexander2010, thanks a lot for double checking the cure firmware.

It could be my nuvi has a hardware problem before and it's not because of flashing the cure firmware. At least, I know that there are some GPS gurus here was helped me to fix this problem.

I really appreciate and thanks so much for all of you who spared the time to create the cure and give the attention of my nuvi problem.

see you in the next issues
