Hi Kunix,
I can not reply to private messages as I have less than 15 posts...
Flashed with file from you, it stays now with white blank screen in pre-boot mode without need to depress top left corner of display.
It is seen in Device Manager as GARMIN USB GPS but no storage or drive is seen by Windows..
If I try run webupdater, it says "update fie is corrupted".
If I load a file ( say nuvi13xxand14xxseries_GCDFile__570.gcd, but I tried others too), into webupdater, I get message:
"The Garmin device has returned an error status whilereceiving data packets.
This could be due to a malfunctioning in the Garmin device or an error in this application.
If this error continues, contact Garmin Tech Support"

Did you try with 110401000580.rgn that kunix send it to you ?
What write updater if you flash with above file?
If updater write error restart your PC and try again.
If you flash with 097201000580.rgn and you have software missing than you have MTK nuvi 13xx.

Now I totally don't understand what you've flashed and what you haven't flashed.
Both RGNs I've sent to you lack boot.bin, so the nuvi doesn't reboot after flashing is finished and it's ready to flash one more RGN.
You have to turn it off by holding the power button and then turn it on and see how the newly flashed firmware behaves.

I flashed with file 097201000580.rgn from you. It stays with blank white screen and is shown in Device Manager as Garmin USB GPS for indefinite time.
After restart, it continues with the blank white screen but is no more seen in Device manager, unless restarts again with top left corner of dispalay depressed.
I also flashed with original Garmin file in GarminCure3 ORIGINAL and after a first short phase, Nuvi screen changes to Garmin logo with SOFTWARE MISSING message and device disappears from Device Manager. If I leave it, an error message comes. If I restart (in short time, with USB to computer still connected), update continues in two 0 to 100% stages and final message says Update successful.
After restart, it comes with blank screen followed by Garmin logo turning on/off.
Is it possible Garmin put on purpose a feature in firmware to sense broken (interrupted) digitizer replacement to avoid their units being repaired?
I understand GarminCure3 was tested on units with accidentally deleted files or formatted drives, but did someone used it on units with broken and later replaced digitizers? Or did someone successfully replaced a broken digitizer on Nuvi 13xx series?

@fdiaconu
Did you try with FW that i send you?
What is result?
If you have error software missing when you flash with 0972 then you have 1104 and not 0972.
I have 0972 NVM backup i can send you,but you must first try with 1104 FW if this FW turn your nuvi on.
Try with both file that i send you and report situation.If wont work i send you my NVM backup.

Okay, I understand now.
So, the CURE firmware behaves exactly as the original firmware. I haven't seen this before. It could be that the firmware should fails to initialize the digitizer and then reboots. lolypop000
I think it's some bug in the bootloader that makes it display "Software Missing" instead of executing boot.bin.
The firmware is executed normally, so the HWID is correct, it's 972. The HWID isn't stored in NVM, it's stored in the bootloader itself.

@Kunix
Do you have my NVM backup?
Try with this.

I should have it. Or I can make my own.
Anyway, as boot.bin is unable to run, we can't flash it. Because the bootloader doesn't accept the nv region.

I wonder if the nuvi booted up before the touch panel (digitizer) was replaced ?

If I try flash with 110401000580.rgn file, I get Updater message "No updates are available for your product"
