reset, hard reset, or copying all .xml to Gamin folder does no work. This is strange though. When I first time did the "enable feature", all the .xml file disappear from Garmin Folder. Now if I were to enable or disable, all the .xml files are still in the Garmin folder.

Could this be the case where it didnt get update that's y all icon still active?

thanks all for helping.. So what other possibility?

Thank you Catymag. I have slow download speeds but will try the LT updater and re-download to see what happens... but even though my LT updater is recognizing my nuvi as a 3790, will it still download the necessary files for a 3490 such as the ASR, SID and DB files? I've seen in another post from voyager56 that the LT updater recognizes his as a 3490, not the case with mine. Does anyone else have the LT updater download the 3490 files while recognizing as a 3790?

Why dont you use Mapupdater? It's so much better and it rarely fails. I never use LT Updater.

Something or somewhat must be blocking it from UpdateDeviceConfig.xml to do it's job. None of the .xml files disappeared, only UpdateDeviceConfig.xml got disappeared.

If you must to send it back to Garmin , reflash 37xx firmware and use the files attached in post n1 :

and to return to 37xx ,its logo included:
    Flash full 37xx firmware
same as above, unpack the file to an empty SD card, turn nuvi off, insert card, turn nuvi on.
    remove sd
    files are attached, follow instructions

    @Catmag:

    v3fxw5

Is that the only I needed since my device is 3450? So I would flash full 37xx firmware from the pic attach, not 34xx?

Is this how it is? Sorry, I just want to be sure I'm doing correctly. Do I need to remove GUPDATE.gcd for flashing 37xx firmware?
As the picture stated. 1st flash "nuvi37xx_GCDFile__450.rgn" then flash convert37x34 from SD card. From here, do I select 34xx or 37xx if asked?

Thank you very much Catmag for all your help and not giving up on me.

point2: there is just one file that work with both firmwares, use it like it is, unpack and copy in sd

@Catmag: ok I did do the 37xx flash and then the convert37x34 from SD card. But this give me the 37xx nuvi not 3450. When i flash the 34xx firmware, it give enable all feature. I still can't disable those extra feature and I can't return to Garmin when the look on the screen is 37xx or 34xx with all feature enabled.

so i try copy these file to Garmin folder, restart, but no luck in disable those extra feature
