Oh ok, so that is for manually enabling features using a hex editor? Is this not the same as using the enable features in the first post?
Yes this is manualy, Roger create tool for easy way to enable future in region 140.
But region 140 in first post and Roger tool end in 1F.
20 is in 34xx FW from FW 7.00 if i remember correct, but 21 is only in new nuvi series 2013 FW.
Sorry, I don't understand what you just said, I guess it's because of the language barrier again. No offense meant.Quote:

Who is Roger? I thought catymag was the original poster in the first post?
@kevin992002
Best to just accept what popotnik is saying, he has a very advanced knowledge of fw and the problem is not in language but in the relative levels of knowledge and understanding between him and us. Basically what he's saying boils down to that the fw of 34x0 and 35x0 is quite different to that of the closest 2013 equivalent models 24/25x7 & 3597.
Roger is roger1109 [Only registered and activated users can see links. Click Here To Register...].
Oh ok, I'm actually accepting what he said but yeah I guess I don't understand what he means because of the difference in knowledge. In that case, how does one enable all features for a 37xx that is converted to a 34xx firmware? Just follow the instructions in the original posts and that's all about it? The instructions popotnik mentioned isn't applicable in my case?Quote:

Just use the latest microSD method at the end of post #1 to enable all possible features. It will convert your 37xx to 34xx, change the logo and enable the extra features in one easy step. Be sure to do a files backup and NV backup first as well and rename/remove the files detailed in post #1, and also clear nv before and after flashing. Read the whole of post #1 so you have a clear understanding of what you're doing before you do it though.
If you like to try with this new 140 region then you can download it here.
This SD package is only for nuvi 34xx with all old future and with Photoreal JCV and Natural Guidance :
For all other nuvi who use region 140 here is only reg 140
I've already done that 2 weeks ago and everything seems fine. I'm just curious of the unfamiliar method mentioned above in enabling features.Quote:
