Did you use Asian version firmware for your 34xx, since the speed limit is circle compared to mine, which is square?
By the way, I used the gpi database you referred, but no luck. Thanks.

No ,I use a US/EU Nuvi 3790 converted to 34xx as described in post n1 and with the latest firmware loaded, CNE NTU 2013.21.
Cyclops.gpi unlocked copied n POI folder in int. memory from the post I linked above. Screenshot has been taken in simulating a route on A8 in Italy
No Asian fw for 34xx now.
Speed limit sign circle-square depend on locale setting.
By the way, I use firmware 7.20, what's your firmware version? Thanks.

Best to do some extra reading of the thread before posting. e.g. the following is from [Only registered and activated users can see links. Click Here To Register...]:

My Garmin doesn't know that you updated to 34xx. Mygarmin dashboard identifying your device by UnitID. Because UnitID is the same it identifies device as 3790.
Webupdater reads GarminDevice.xml and here info is changed. Know Webupdater identifies it as 3490.
P.S. If you have LMT for your 3790 you will get updates for "new" 3490. These updates will be as for 3490, not 3790. You'll get sid,asr and other files required for 3490.
How the speed limit displays is now confusing the heck out of me. In my 265W, 2350 and 13xx's it displays as square/rectangle (but in different place on map for 265W), but in 3790 it displays as circle. All with locale set to AU using the same map. In GMXT it displays as circle or square depending on the country map used (circle for older CNNTEU for instance, square for others). So go figure 'coz it's got me stumped. I always thought that the speed limit info display type was embedded in the map info, but maybe as you say the Locale setting also influences it. Certainly in my recent experience the device model does certainly. Is there a definitive answer: Locale, Map, Software, Unit/model, or a combination of them??
EDIT: OK, got it. Although the basic SLI info is embedded in the map, how it displays is dependent on both Locale setting AND the Model. E.G. 3xxx displays circle with EU or AU locate, but rectangle with US. Others (265W, 13xx, 2350, 40/50) display circle with EU locale and rectangle with US or AU. Garmin is so garmin..... n'est ce pas?
I think some users post here and everywhere (pointlessly) just to increase their posts count and even dont read post n1
The goal is to reach 10 posts to see the links they wont see if they dont hit Like button and they could see with just 1 post. ;)... But, reading rules or announcements or everywhere on forum ,seems to be an hard accomplishment for them.

Another conversion from 3790 to 3490 works, even with POI alert, for the second 3790T. Another strange thing is that the POI alert didn't work too after I converted the first 34xx back to 3790T, which works before converting to 3490. Any suggestion? Thanks.
Probably what you have some "children's" error likes not properly file or folder name and content. Check again carefully...
It works now by flashing back 37xx and then 34xx again. By the way, can I flash any 34xx Asian firmware to 37xx? Thanks you for your help.
