No slashes in file names? Does this work?

    Alviora
If you stop mentioning changing id in this context (34,41) then barely anyone would find this way.
I frequently encounter Garmin devices with corrupted NV (after playing with different firmware versions), and clearing it is the only reliable method of curing.
So the way of clearing/restoring NV should be publicly known. (Unless we want to make as much money as possible by keeping it secret as long as possible).

We appreciate members who share their knowledge for helping users with bricked units.
Or do you prefere they send them to Garmin ,spend their time, money and have back refurbished units?

I suppose that Alviora represents the interests of Navlux (UA).

    Code:

So he means that changing the id is way to cloning device and hacking of their maps as a result of this.
Garmin, how much is 30 pieces of silver for Judas today? Were they worthy for crucifix of GPSPower?

Granted, often without treatment\rewriting nv difficult to repair\revive Navigator. Especially in the case of migration from 37xx to 34xx and back.
To make money my message is not relevant. More about this will not write.
Of selflessness can see on mirgarmin.com.ua, where we help users absolutely free and online correspondence and on the site and on the phone and directly in our stores and SOs.

Send people to Garmin? This is evil
If a person can to repair the navigator - he will always give information or to public or private correspondence.

Interests Luxena&Navionika I can not imagine. I work in an independent service center.
I just do not want to provoke a race protection and encryption, which eventually lead to an ever-increasing discomfort to the user.

No, 34xx ones are different, you must download them with map with Mapupdater or find them on forum in CNs threads

@Alviora - We understand your concern, but nobody will help in cloning or in removing pins or similar.

......for example, here you'll see that there are both versions : for 37xx (ASR 37xx) and for (ASR2) 34xx (ASR)
