If I had this issue, I would flash back my original region 34 & 41 and maybe a few more.
Missing model number means that NVM is damaged. I think writing backup of region 41 would be enough.
Sure. I know. Sadly, but I don't have. When I made a backup it was too late. Maybe will help clearing (filling with ff) the whole region 41?Quote:

Or maybe it's possible to fix it restoring HWID in NVRAM?
But looks like it's not the one issue. There is another problem. Each time Nuvi power ups each time it asks for region, language, EULA. I think it can't write settings in NVRAM.
even you have backup region 34 & 41, it's still 37xx or 34xx.
Then, reformat region 41. It is corrupted.
 how?Quote:

But after, will I lose my UnitID (hope it still remains in region 34 unmodified) and will I have full 3490 or 3790?
BTW my region 34 at offset 0x10 contains 5F E0 If it's HWID it looks strange.
P.S.
What does it mean "corrupted". CRC changed? Or some kind of other protection?
