Hello to all..
Is there any way to remove PIN code protection from Nuvi 660?
Baby has locked it and it is bricked. The safe location was not defined...
I know that chances are close to 0 but I had to ask...

I haven't seen any ways to remove/recover PIN published. I think it's because making it public is too "criminal", as it will encourage thieves to steal Garmin devices.
And how can you prove that you won't share the PIN removing procedure with bad people?
UPD: By chance I have nuvi 670 with me, and it doesn't turn on Garmin Lock without setting up the security location. So maybe try walking around your house :)
Just begin from 0000. Most probably after two weeks you would have figure it out. ;)
You need this tool

maybe you need first build it.....:damnpc:
I remember the last bloke posting about a locked unit on Noeman got lucky at about 1340 or thereabouts after a couple of days... maybe you might have to go closer to 9999 though. A bit of a toss up to know which end to start really, 0000 or 9999.Quote:

PIN code can be removed, but I hope that the decision will not be published in the public domain. at least I will not do that :)
Only in SC and only with proof of ownership of the navigator and good intentions.
Yes, it can be removed... Btw, cool avatar, bro! :)
I hope that this will never be in public becouse we dont wish that people stole GPS from someone and then unlock unit and use.
Like @Alviora say if you have papers that unit is yours and you buy it then we can help you, if you dont have this papers we dont help.
All the above sentiments reflect my initial reply to the poster in the other thread. I think I said something like 'I don't think anyone here is going to tell you that, how do we know the unit is not stolen?'.
Interestingly but garmin removed the PIN code function from the newer devices 2xx5, 34xx, 35xx series etc. Your comments? :)
