If your pc sees nuvi , format it following this:

At restart ,nuvi will recreate its GarminDevice.xml then run Webupdater to get needed files.
I hope you havent damaged nuvi NV flashing unproper firmwares.
Every nuvi has an HWID and cant flash a different HWID firmware, it can kill your nuvi.
For265 W(OZ set), which firmware should I use GCD or MTK?
What is difference between them although explained for MTK earlier post?
How to I know my firmware ID?
There are 2 versions of Nuvi 2x5, with different chips and firmwares, different HWID (Hardware identification).
You can use RGNTool program to discover .gcd HWID and g7towin program to know your unit HWID, both are in Soft&Tools section.
Flashing Nuvi with wrong HWID firmware can brick it.
Are all 255W HWID 1091 MTK?
No, there are 2 chip versions in 2x5W as stated in post#46 and the most common is HWID 0827, the 'non-MTK' version. MTK has HWID of 1091. To check, hold the battery indicator for ~ 6 seconds, press Next>Start Test>More. Look at the 2nd entry in the first 3 lines. It will show B0827-00 or B1091-00. You can also get it from the GarminDevice.xml in the unit's Garmin folder: <PartNumber>006-BXXXX-00</PartNumber>
