Yes,i make the cure whit Cure3 (and dont work)and the original firmware dont work! the message is the same
updater problem:
the GARMIN device is unable to program the requested memory region.
this could be due to an incompatibility betweenthis aplication and the GARMIN device!

Do you install garmin usb drivers from garmin site?
Updater.exe detect your nuvi ( do you have beside window usb your model and ID number ) befor you click OK button ?
I repair 10 garmin for week (whit problem in boot), this is a excepcional problem, I know how to do a cure, and I have the last garmin usb drivers! Are we soure dont exit another firmware for nuvi 750 ??

For old FW you have separate link for download, but for new is one for all 7xx series.

That's correct, and in fact the actual fw has always been the same for 750, 760, 770. It's just that it was previously presented packed in individually named *.exe form for each 700 sub-model up until V4.90 [i.e. nuvi750_490.exe , nuvi760_490.exe , nuvi770_490.exe]. When decompiled, all the exe files yield a folder named nuvi 7xx, in turn containing a Garmin folder with the fw file GUPDATE.GCD. This file is identical for all 7x0 models. V4.90 was offered as both the full exe and as the gcd as i recall. V5.40 is available only as the gcd for all 7x0 units and is simply generically named '7xx'.

The only version missing from post #1 is V5.30 and that's because Garmin withdrew it as faulty and reissued v4.90 before doing some big bug fixes with 5.40. I added a warning only some 7 hours before your post above about using 5.30 for that reason. So if it's 5.30 you're looking for, forget it. I doubt we will ever see any more versions of this fw unless something seriously wrong is found in 5.40 and that's unlikely now. All other versions are available but unfortunately as i said earlier in post #12 your problem with that nuvi750 is not fw related.
