tom1807, Russian distributor of Garmin are very lazy and stupid men - no modification took place and it is usual Garmin european software update from garmin.com:

For example to "very lazy and stupid men" - Navicom are waiting official update and from Garmin with fixed keyboard for a long time, but any "bear" can fix it in text editor. Situation with Nuvi 1xxx models was same...

BTW same with the Bulgarian keyboard. The guys from Garmin can differenciate betwen latin "a" and cyrillic "а". Yea, very easy to be fixed.
Can someone point out what is new in this firmware? I have read there is new locking mechanism of some garmin maps like CN Russia and it is stored in the firmware. Can someone explain?

This firmware is usual EU/US version in byte to byte. Each of us can get it by webupdater from garmin.com. What do you mean? I do not update new CN Russia 2012 version but do not sure in Russian special crypting... Originally Posted by ddabcd277
