This is cure firmware like the PouchX one. Install it the same way with Updater.exe. First use the cure firmware in folder Step 1. If it helps zumo would enter in Mass Storage mode. After that delete from the memory problematic files - GUPDATE.GCD, .vpm, .gpi, .img, .gpx etc. After that flash again with the firmware in folder Step 2
Hope this helps,

I am drinking dark beer! :smoke:
Some file is making the problem. You should figure out which one is it and delete it. Most of the time the problem is coming from the files GUPDATE.GCD, .img, .gpi (those in folder POI), srf (those in Vehicles), .gpx (folder GPX), scrn, Voice (.vpm) etc. If you wish delete every of those files and after that flash with the normal firmware - 058001000490orig.rgn. See if that is going to help.
First make back up of the files...
Cheers,

Fixed.
Zumo Working 100%. I think the problem was the Gupdate. I have not deleted any more. The problem was due to wanting to erase the entire firm and let the initial values of PounchX firm. Automatically broke.

Hi Catymag,
I recently upgraded my zumo 500 to latest firmware 4.9. It works fine as a PND. however, when I plug into the usb, it doesnt go into the mass stoarge mode. Have tried cables ports etc. But no luck. However, the battery icon disappears and it works on extrernal power. Any help?
Regards,
Prem
