So what would be the best firmware to used with 3790T in your opinion?
Stick with US or Sg/My 2.30 or others?

Another interesting feature of Chinese v2.50: you can select any voice you want in the Voice menu. In US firmware, only voices compatible with the Text Language could be selected. Now, we can choose anything and all voices appears in the menu regardless of the Text Language.
Yes, but remember: no Calendar, no Contacts, no split scrren junction view and no realistic junction view (just plain full screen junction view is available).

And what is ==> "no realistic junction view" ??
no calendar&contact !! maybe I need 3790V Sg/My ...555
(3790v Sg/My has eCompass .., and I am crazy in 800x480 )

The 3750 has junction view with the road, the purple line, the green road signs, but no line assist overlay (it has line assist on the map though) and definitively not the same realistic picture quality!
I should look at Sg/My. It is nice to have the eCompass. Edit: oh! The V is probably a hardware modification. No good for my 3750.

Wait a minute !! Your JCV page is for EU & US map.
I mean my3790US(with sg/my2.30 or CHN2.20) will show the jcv like your picture for EU&US jcv.
But if I use Sg/My., CHN., or other Asian JCV file then I will get jcv with lane assist overlay.
I think you will be happy if you have time so you can try it and you see what I said .
After that maybe you like to visit Thailand .., land of smile.

Changes made from version 2.50 to 2.70:

2. Fixed issue where city name for world clock could only be set by entering captitals.
