Great post.
Question regarding speedcams. If I download from PoiPlaza I have the option to download as (speedcam) or (poi) format, which one to choose?
After converting the csv files to gpi I transfer to POI folder. If I go to settings and select Custom POIs then I just get an hour glass display and it does nothing. How to activate these speedcams please.

If you download them as Speedcams (.csv), there is a speed entry in the .csv file after every point's name
(e.g. 2.49126, 50.75275, RL-70, F-Hondeghem@70) so the PoiLoader can calculate the proximity alert distance with Express Mode.
If you download as POI (.gpx or .csv) there is no speed info in the files and in PoiLoader you must enter the proximity alert distance by yourself in Manual Mode.
I always download as POIs because I don't have much confidence in the speed entries in the "as speedcams" .csv files and I always set my proximity alert distance, in order to be better safe than sorry...
Read also PoiLoader Help.
To activate the custom Pois that have proximity alert distances, go to Settings > Proximity Alerts > Alerts > Custom Pois (checked)
You 'll hear a "ding-ding" as you approach the poi and have a visual alert.
There is no way to search and find any custom pois in StreetPilot, except if you click on their icons in browse map mode (when you have an active route).
The poi speedcam icons from poi plaza seem to very small on my display (16 x 16 pixels, 71 dpi, bit depth 24. What is the correct format for using larger ones please. Likewise when approaching a customized icon poi I get a ding sound instead of my mp3/wav recording. Whats the correct format structure of audio files.
23x23 pixels at 24 bit or 8 bit if you want to use Μagenta (#FF00FF or RGB 255,0,255) as a transparent color.
StreetPilot does not recognize mp3/wav and so there is no voice output, just the "ding".
Hello guys,
I installed Garmin in my Sammsung Galaxy Grand Duos (800x480) I9192L.
In portrait works fast and fine, but in landscape is very slow. Is it normal?
Is the traffic system working?
Thanks in advanced!

@rfb
It should be same speed in both orientations. How is it slow?
I haven't seen traffic working in Streetpilot for Android.
Hello @flagmax,
It is not the same in my I9192L.
Portrait is fast, but in landscpe is so slow that is impossible to use in this orientation.
The Android Version is 4.2.
Regards.

Lads there can be a lot of trial and error until you get it right. Ive just had to try about 5 different combinations before I got it to work but got there in the end. Just keep trying and make a note of what does not work before trying another method.
