Hello Crog1959,
maps did crash my phone too a few times, and then I wiped clean Dalvik and Cache in recovery and they worked afterward. You could give this a try. Cheers.

@ORAK
There is a small typo in your post#83.There shouldn't be "0" in the second line in the following quoted lines :
Install Garmin StreetPilot2.33.apk
- External memory (storage/extSdCard/0)
• storage/extSdCard/ Android/data/com.garmin.android.apps.gmobilext/files/Garmin
Spoiler: Download
It firstly made me missed(looked over) this section of instructions, but after trying everything else I came back to this, and it works perfectly for my rooted Note 2 with modified hybrid Note3/s4/s5 ROM.
Thanks a million for you excellent works.
Cheers!
I don't know about arabic langauge. But for my Thai langauge, I use the contents of the file Garmin folder(Complete Package).rar from post #83. It works perfectly for me.Quote:

Dear Caty,
working on Note 2 442, rooted, all ok ; I'm trying to get the updates: I don't see "Garmindevice.xml", I believe this file should be create automatically, but I don' find it. Trying to update from Mac the external SD is not seen...(maybe because the "Garmindevice.xml" is not present)
Any suggestion ??
Again a beautiful job !!!
Greetins!!
Regards
