I think Google play verifies your install and if you update Viago I'm afraid it wont start anymore. But try and give feedback please.
There is not a significant difference between the 2 versions, I stuck with old one ;)

This is interesting...
Even though I'm located in Hong Kong and Viago is not officially available here, I was able to buy it from the online Playstore on the browser, and it automatically downloaded and installed in my phone. However, this was the old version, and I know that 1679 is now available, but Viago does NOT show up in the Playstore on my phone, and there is no way for me to officially update it. So, to update to the latest version, I had to download the unmodded APK from one of the links here and install it..
Glad that Streetpilot can finally run on KitKat 4.4.2 and I no longer have to use this..
Tried again with 1678. Installed and ran Lucky Patcher with Auto and Other Patches (Extreme Mode)! selected.
Now have a running version with some local maps for offline use (Streetpilot crashes when I try routing with these).
Wish I could actually purchase this software - I like the Garmin address search format (I know some people prefer to search by city first but that doesn't always work here).
Apologies for delay in posting but was away and had no internet access.
Tried to "upgrade" to version 1697 but no luck...Got same error message as before.... " verify you have latest version of APK" and then it will close. I had to uninstall and reinstall previous version.
What I have noticed with previous version is that every so often, when you open the apk it requests an internet connection and if this is not available it will close. If internet is available, it will work normally.
Also, I am using it with a local map for Peru (CGSMapper made) and it works OK, but I installed an unlocked version of CN NA NT 2015.20 and map shows up OK (using fake gps for testing) but when I do an address search it also asks for an internet connection and if this is available it "finds" the address and i gives you the route. Any one else noticed this behaviour?
Thanks,
JCC2
Really? Usually unlocked maps didn't work in Viago.Quote:

Good day Catymag....
I installed the CN NA NT 2015.20 for test purposes as my daughter is traveling to the USA shortly and wanted to see if it would be useful for her trip.
I first started with an updated version via MapSource (obtained via Garmin update and my faithful NUVI 1450LMT). The IMG could be seen on my phone (S4 Mini) but it wouldn't route.
I then "unlocked" NT folder in PC with Unlock MapSet 2 and saved img to USB and then I "unlocked" image again with gimgunlock (just guessing/playing to see what happened). The resulting IMG I then moved to MAP folder in phone's SD card and using Fake GPS I was able to open it, move around it and search for addresses but it would not route as it would request an internet connection. Once I connected the internet the route and instructions came up.
I also this was odd as I had read Viago would not work with unlocked maps (maybe it has something to do the original MAP was official update?) so it would be interesting if someone else tried it and post their results.

When you use routing you probably use online map and not the loaded unlocked map.
