    Greetings from Lima, Peru !!!!

I have just received a brand new Samsung Galaxy S3 Mini GT-I8190L and the first thing I did was to install GS 2.22 on external SD Card. Everything seems to work fine in my initial (and limited!) tests sofar, except for the sound. When I try to set the sound/voice level by hand from the opening screen I get the sliding bar at 0% but no matter at what level I set it, it inmediately goes back down to 0%. Has anyone by chance had this problem before, and if so, is there a way to solve it?

Phone is JB version4.1.2 and un rooted.

Many thanks in advance for your help!

If you are unrooted then use an install file from post 469. I successfully installed SP on an unrooted Tab2 on the external sd card.

Again..........you do not have to be rooted to run SP.

    internal sd card use /storage/sdcard0/Garmin
    external sd card use /storage/extSdCard/Garmin

Both are included on post 469. Both will install libgarminos and libgmxt, trust me. You are either looking in the wrong place or can't look because of your unrooted status. Make sure you also copy the Garmin folder downloaded in post 469 and you will also have to find the map for your region and replace it overwriting gmapprom.img in the .system folder.

Read carefully before posting. The solution was written in post 1.

    .
Solution:Volume must be managed by phone volume settings after starting SP.
You can not managed by SP the volume settings.

You see the libgmxt.so and libgarminos.so installed in data/data/com.garmin.android.apps.gmobilext/lib/

Both in this folder or only libgarminos.so ? Manually if I did not create this folder, folder will not be created by any installation. As for the libgmxt.so it is not in /system/lib although I can see lots of lib**** there.

There are differences I notice; for other apks after I open the app it just goes blank but when I use your non root apk it goes blank, return to home screen with notification of "street pilot is running, click to continue".
I clicked and saw the Garmin by Orak screen and followed by > 50 times of blank screen and "click to continue"
    Did not continue from there.

    2) What are the pre-requisites for a new tab3, esp softwares apps

Street Pilot on Galaxy tab 3

First download: Garmin folder(Complete Package) of my post 466 or 469.
It works on no-root and root system.
Use the Garmin folder which can be copied to:

    - External memory (/mnt/extsd/Garmin)
    or
    - Internal memory (/mnt/sdcard/Garmin)

Second use and install Street Pilot.apk

    - For external memory (/mnt/extsd/Garmin)
    Spoiler: Download

    - For internal memory (/mnt/sdcard/Garmin)

    Enjoy
    My Galaxy tab 3 SM-t210 I believe is using /storage/sdcard0 and /storage/extSdCard.

When I tried the ver216 mnt_extsd, when open just blank off and returns to home screen
As for the ver222 no_root_mnt_sdcard, it opens-blanks-prompts-GarminByOrak, then blanks-prompts forever

I need vold.fstab it says right path for storage
vold.fstab can be found in root system\etc\vold.fstab

I found on the internet vold.fstab Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 vold.fstab
    example:
    #######################
    ## Regular device mount
    ##
    ## Format: dev_mount <label> <mount_point> <part> <sysfs_path1...>
    ## label - Label for the volume
    ## mount_point - Where the volume will be mounted
    ## part - Partition # (1 based), or 'auto' for first usable partition.
    ## <sysfs_path> - List of sysfs paths to source devices
    ######################

    # Mounts the first usable partition of the specified device
    #/devices/platform/awsmc.3/mmc_host for sdio
    dev_mount sdcard /mnt/sdcard auto /devices/virtual/block/nandj
    dev_mount extsd /mnt/extsd auto /devices/platform/sunxi-mmc.1/mmc_host /devices/platform/sunxi-mmc.0/mmc_host
    dev_mount usbhost1 /mnt/usbhost1 auto /devices/platform/sw-ehci.1 /devices/platform/sw_hcd_host0 /devices/platform/sw-ehci.2 /devices/platform/sw-ohci.1 /devices/platform/sw-ohci.2

And my phone Samsung GALAXY S Advance (GT-I9070) with "RootExplorer" I said /storage/extSdCard/Garmin and not working GSP
But was actually /mnt/extSdCard/Garmin and GSP is working.
So you found the right way for External memory or Internal memory.
    Moreover, I can not help.

    Default Many tks for reply...

    Hi baghdadvaio!

Many thanks for your reply. Unfortunately, I had already tried your suggestion with no results unfortunately (I DO read the complete threads just to make sure of what I am doing is correct!).

I have previously installed some time ago the same version on a Samsung 7 inch tablet and altough there was no sound originally, setting it by hand solved the problem. As i said, unfortunately this appears not to work with my S3 Mini.

I hope there are folks out there that might have the solution to my problem.

Also, with a working version for my wife's S4 Mini with JB 4.2.2 !!!

    Saludos, desde Peru !!!
