ok, I completely lost now.
I removed totally SP, to do a clean installation.
After remove the SP app, checked the both .os files are gone, and erased the Garmin folder, I tried to install again SP following the steps in post #1.
The thing is, SP is working. I have satelites fixed, no problem with battery icon, seams to work fine.
But, four things are wrong.
- Time zone is wrong (Checked with three different gmaptz files.)
- No maps detected (No matter the folder nor unlock it. Tried different maps that actually were working fine in my previous installation, but no detect it)
- Absolutelly no sounds at all. The language selection screen shows all the options brought by goodoane's app, but there is no sound. (Volumen button pumped up totally)
- Text language shows only two options: English_America and just "()".
No clues at all. Even I tried with baghdadvaio's version with the same result.
Is there other files installed by the apk in other folders? Maybe there is some files in conflict.
any help will be appreciated.
Regards.
I have a LG Optimus F3 rooted running 4.1.2.
I would love to get this to work on my phone.
When I first found the SP running on Android a few weeks ago I tried everything under the sun to make it work on my phone. Some of the SP apk did not start at all on my phone.
The ones I could get to work and would show a map, the map had to be on the internal storage of my phone. Nothing I did would work to show the maps for my external SD card.
My phone has such poor storage internally; this will only work for me on my external SD.
I decided to check to see if anything was new on the site and I see a new post #469 making it look easy to install. So I decided to try again and I still have no luck.
Here’s what I did:
Downloaded the Garmin folder in post #469. I placed this on my external SD.
Installed the SP application for /storage/external_sd/Garmin. Pretty sure that’s the path to my external SD. Looking at Total Commander behind SD-card (2) it says /storage/external_SD.
So I went ahead and tried starting SP. It boots up to where you need to set it up. It says “Select a Locale” with a blank box. Nothing to select and hitting the OK does nothing. Tried restarting the phone and starting SP again boots to the same place.
I do have a few questions. The beginning post about SP mentions about libgarminos.so and libgmtx.so. Are these files needed to make SP in post #469 work?
If so is the libgarminos.so file that goes in the /data/data/com.Garmin.Android.apps.gmobilext/lib/, is that to be the Internal or External SD?
Any thought on how to get this to work on my phone would be greatly appreciated.

If you use baghdvaio's install files you do not need to mess with libgarminos and libgmxt files. Seems like you used the wrong .apk to install SP. Check again as it could be something close. Or you could have copied his Garmin folder incorrectly. Make sure you have on the root of your sd card only one Garmin folder containing: /.system, /Garmin, /GPX, ... and not /Garmin/Garmin/containing:/.system, /Garmin, /GPX, ..Quote:

Finally done!:dance2:
After the third atemmpt, Street Pilot is working really fine in my rooted I9070.
Thanks to catymag and baghdadvaio for your time, messages and support. :wow:
A question: I added a couple of voice files just copying the vpm files to the voice folder, but they are not shown at the voices selection options.
It is necessary to do something else?
Thanks again.
I checked my Garmin folder and yes I have it in the root of my SD.Quote:

I downloaded every SP.apk available in post #469. Several of them would boot up, but none show any map.
With the Garmin folder supplied, does it have the basemap of the US? Thought it does, but maybe not and that's why I have no map showing.
Guess I'm going to pull my map images off my Nuvi and see if it shows up.....
Pulled the gmapsupp.img off my nuvi. un-locked it, renamed it gmapprom.img. Placed it in the Garmin/.system/ folder on my external SD.
Re-installed the 4 SP.apk that actually start on my phone.
None of them show any map.
Create subfolder Map in Garmin folder and place gmapsupp.img there.
Make sure you have basemap in Garmin/.system/
Also choose appropriate apk
