When StreetPilot recalculates, freezes and exits.
When I look for a destination and want to see it on the map before starting the route, also freezes and exits.
Practically I can not use it, because it constantly freezes and exits.
First put maps from Project Mapear in the Map folder... StreetPilot freezes and exits.
Then delete the folder Map and replace the file gmapprom.img in the .System folder but also freezes and exits again.
Yes... when StreetPilot freeze and exits, is still running in background.Quote:

I should be rooting my galaxy s2 and retest the street pilot.
I will comment my test progress.
Thanks and sorry for my bad english.
I just did a test:
When I look for a destination and want to see it on the map before starting the route, StreetPilot freezes and exits only when GPS is ON and signal is OK. If GPS is OFF or is ON but no signal, dont freeze.
Magic?
All libgarminos.so files from sosaw's thread I linked in post n 95 are now added and attached in post n2.
Test with rooted phone and with Garmin in sdcard with files from post n1, try also to use another basemap, replace it with this one

Castielo I'm having a battery drain issue also I'm pretty sure it is draining faster than normal because my phone last all day with my regular usage. Something about streetpilot is draining the battery, I'm suspecting it is a process also because of the fact streetpilot wasn't meant for other phones it could be anything from optimization to something that is constantly on even when exiting Streetpilot.Quote:

I will do what Catymag said about turning off the GPS after exiting streetpilot to see if that makes a difference.
GPS ON drains a lot of battery lol, when you close SP ,disable it.Quote:

Hi thanks for bringing the Garmin to Android...
This works nicely in my Samsung Galaxy Skyrocket (AT&T version of S2 with LTE), I have only one problem, the navigation announcement is overlapping with the music, normally in TomTom or Google Navigation, the music volume fades, when there is navigation announcement. Is anyone else having this issue?
....fortunately I've got files to root my SP galaxy note n7000 JB 4.1.2..which just available just few days ago...so my SP rooted......all files hidden show up in my SP....including .system of garmin....it is easier to manage files after been rooted and followed step by step in post #1....... for using on simulation mode....everything seems works ok....POI such as gas station, food, show....only satellite and battery icon in red color...and pedestrian mode seem working like automotive mode...not as in oregon or garmin asus...which show bearing/course straight line....haven't tried on the road....if still freeze or force closed upon re-calculating....just ok ...at least I still got garmin gps on my SP ....not for the purpose of navigation but for know my position on the map....while looking for and waiting updates to fixing this problems....
