Are the files from android street pilot compatible to iphone street pilot like the voices and maps?
All working well here but I have a few questions / issues (IOS 8.4)
1. The navigation voice fades out before the direction is completed
2. Safety camera alerts "on with audio" graphics are working (icon is shown on screen) but no sound is made
Is there a way to rectify the above 2 issues
;)
Hi All,
I'm hoping to get Garmin working on an elderly iPhone 3GS. Can anyone PM me a suggested location for v2.2?
I have 2.7 but it comes up with the map management window and Garmin no longer provide the files (so it's stuck on 0%). I'd prefer the older .System method to be honest.
Regards,
Alex
Hopefully this post is still alive.
I have a very weird problem. I successfully installed Garmin USA Version 2.0.19 on my jailbroken iPhone 4s with ios 6.1.3. I also successfully added North America unlocked maps 2022.20 along with JCV (full screen) files. All is working great.
The only issue I have is that the arrival time on app is off by 1 hour and 36 min from my iPhone time. It remains off by same all the time. Looks like gps time is not being synced with iPhone time.
Any ideas from experts? I have iFile installed and have looked over all plist files for any clues but I'm stumped and this is very annoying issue. Garmin time does progress but remains behind by 1 hr and 36 min exactly.

Wrong time display can be caused by not using the latest version gmaptz.img or not having it present in .System.
Thank you so much @Butters
Yes that was the reason. I copied the latest version of gmaptz.img in the .System folder and restarted the app and it corrected the time issue. Its working great now.
Although I had to delete the gmaptz.img afterward because it was not letting the actual map file (gmapprom.img) to render (possibly due to same .img extension). Anyhow, even after deleting gmaptz file time is all fixed now and I'm a happy camper :)))
@skumarnuvi,
I do not know why you would have problems with img files.
Under .system folder you have:
gmapprom.img
gmaptz.img
gmapbmap.img
They all have the ending of "img"
So there is no need to remove gmaptz.img. The gmapprom.img will work just fine.
You then have other problems when the gmapprom.img map does not show it has nothing to do with gmaptz.img
@asprin624 i get what you are saying and that's how it should work but I downloaded the garmin ipa ver 2.0.19 that is on the first page of this forum.
after installation my .system folder was empty. So I copied the gmapprom.img (which is 2022.20 unlocked maps) and a couple of JCV files in single folder named JCV. So my .system has a JCV folder and gmapprom.img file only.
There is no gmapbmap.img file. May be whoever repacked the ipa may have done something to integrate the basemaps but I don't have that file.
Prior to copying gmaptz.img file I had the issue of 2 hr behind time with the app but after copying it resolved the issue. But app was not rendering the map so I removed the gmaptz.img file from .system folder and it is working fine.
Will try and play more to see why this is happening but on my end .system folder is not liking more than 1 .img files. Would love to hear more about this
my .system folder was empty upon installation and when I copy more than one .img file it don't render the map.
@skumarnuvi
It is possible for a Garmin device or app to work to some degree without a basemap (gmapbmap.img) however there will be times when the software switches from the primary mapping to the (lesser detailed) basemap. If the basemap is not present then the software will freeze or cause the hardware to re-boot. For example, basemap use is necessary when zoomed out and scrolling.
You should add a basemap, various versions are available in different sizes and coverage, with and without DEM. The most recent fully featured world-wide basemap is Version 6, you can obtain one here: [Only registered and activated users can see links. Click Here To Register...].
I endorse what asprin624 stated regarding the timezone map not likely to interfere with the detail map and there would have been some other reason for that rendering problem.
