First off, as a new member to this forum I just want to give props to the folks in this thread who provided some really neat info on how to tweak the settings for the Garmin StreetPilot for iPhone, and for providing info on how to get around some of the limitations Garmin put in when attempting to use the Garmin software on an iOS device. I already knew about how to get around the limitations when attempting to use the Garmin software on an iPhone...well, at least up until Garmin 2.3 came out; in any case, with the info provided in this thread I am now running Garmin USA 2.2 (was running 2.0 until yesterday) with North America 2013.30 map data, including 2013.30 gmap3d and JCV files--the tweak about needing to enable 3D buildings in the plist was a godsend, as I was wondering why I couldn't get 3D buildings to show up in 2.2 when they had been working flawlessly in 2.0.Quote:

I can confirm that most--if not all--of the important GPS functions appear to be working correctly with my Garmin USA 2.2 setup on my iPhone 5 running iOS 6.1 (jailbreak), including but not limited to: route simulation, 3D buildings, Junction View, destination search by Address/POI/Contacts, and Google Street View of destination (where available).
Update--I now have CNNA 2013.40 map/JCV/3D running on my iPhone 5; thanks to those folks who posted the download links!
Has anyone else (besides me) downloaded and installed this particular upload (FAULTY CLONES USA v2.2 ipa) on their iPhone? I ask because although 2.2 does work correctly as far as displaying maps and routing, I've since discovered some things that are either missing and/or don't work:Quote:

1) No Google Local Search option icon
2) Clicking on the small "cloud" icon to display the weather info for the current location/destination does nothing
3) (This may be simply lack of knowledge on my part)--how do you get StreePilot to function in pedestrian mode?
Hi Guys,
I'm just wondering how can we add a gpx file to Garmin Iphone, and then import it sothat we could see tracks and points on top of the garmin map?
Is this possible to be done in Garmin iphone? Where is exactly the GPX folder in garmin iphone or is there any gpx folder in Garmin iphone?
my goal is just trying to do what I have been always been doing in Garmin mobile XT on my P990i, it has features to import/export gpx file, such we can modify it and put the tracks on top of the garmin map that we are having...
thanks in advance...
If you use I fun Box you can see all files in your Idevice you can export to PC but you cant remove , add files in < Garmin apps > except if you create a folder name SD Card now you can import / export files in Garmin/SD Card/GPXQuote:

So are you saying just by creading SD CARD/GPX and put the .gpx file there, the tracks and points will show up on my garmin map? that simple?Quote:

if it is that simple, is it possible to do some mods so that I can toggle ON/OFF the gpx file?
thanks alot
EDIT: Tried to make a folder called GPX in (Library/Sdcard/) folder, but seems nothing shows up... could it be the directory location that you are referring is not the same to what I have just did created the folder at?
perhaps could you be more specific on the directory location for the gpx file from root perhaps?
thanks
I have the same question :help:

To answer one of my own questions--I got #3 working; guess it was some poor plist file editing on my part, but after having a better understanding of which plist files are for what and incorporating some of the code into the proper plist files, I think I got it down correctly. Not only do I have the Pedestrian option showing up correctly in the Settings menu (it originally had just the Automotive option), I also got GPS Simulator, GPS Log Record/Playback, Reset MyLocations Database, Reset Trips Database, Optimize Route For (car/motorcycle, Pedestrian, Ask Before Routing), Public Transportation (Transit Types) options enabled in the Settings menu as well.Quote:

Unfortunately I've now seem to have busted select destination address via Contacts--the "busy" wheel just spins and spins when I select the address associated with the person in my Contacts list... :sadly: The weird thing was that select destination via Contacts was working perfectly in the Garmin 2.0 version I downloaded but now it just clocks (and eventually crashes the Garmin app) when I installed the Garmin 2.2 version (also downloaded) over the 2.0 version.

Tell me how you handle PLIST. Forward us your file. thanks
