Hi... I have additional question regarding this street pilot, so as Windows Phone has it's version of Garmin Street Pilot does the above steps applicable for adding the Garmin map into the device?
I remember with GMXT either in WM or Symbian the steps are prety much the same to add the map.
Thank you
For windows phone, the garmin streetpilot is for on-demand (not on-board) type, thus the maps data will not be stored inside your phone.Quote:

There is a problem yet. The warning sound are tree beeps only. I can't figure out how to play the messages (mp3 or wav) included in GTI.
Best regards,
going on tests...
Hi guys,
anyone heard about the strange thing that the streetpilot app for iphone runs smoothly on a Jailbreaked iPhone 3GSs up until iOS 5.01, but doesn't want to load on iOS 5.1?
I have this thing on two separate iPhones, and I try to locate the problem (apparently I'm not the only one with this issue). I'm sure the garmin app is compatible with iOS 5.1. I'm sure I do everything correctly, since on iOS 4.3.3 and 5.0.1 the app works neat. But I just don't have any idea how to proceed, where to look to find the source of the problem. It is clear that there's an issue between the iOS 5.1, the Jaibreak and the garmin app. But where?...
Anyone heard about this? Any ideas maybe? Thank you guys!

how's to add another map to streetpilot taiwan?
Ok, omcx123, you are the man (woman?). This is brilliant. I worked it through several times with no luck. Turns out, you must edit the hosts file before putting your downloaded custom maps in the .System folder, even if it is unlocked. It seemed to re lock my maps, if that is possible, if I put them in first. Also, just to add some detail, while editing the hosts file, when I clicked save, it saved it to a temp folder on my PC, not to back to my iPhone. So I had to choose Save As and save it to a known location on my computer, then drag that file into my /etc/ folder.Quote:

Thank you to everyone who contributed, and to omcx123 for putting it all in a easy to follow step by step tutorial.
BTW, I am using the brand new Thailand v12.1 just released last month. Now I would really love to get Junction View working, since it has never worked in my nuvi 3790 US.
