It's as Roger said, that is a Telstra 'on-line' AU only app. It downloads map data for AU on demand, and no maps can be stored on the device. There is no way that you can adapt it to use in another country unless you are also capable of hacking into NASA's main server. Anyway, it's a cr*p free app here in OZ. If you want 'premium services' you have to pay an obscenely large daily, monthly or yearly sub. Just forget it.

There is a software POILoader that you can use to compile POI (Points of interest).
You must google and learn more about how to make your own POI with your interests.
POI are coordinates associated to images that mark points of interest in gps maps.
They go to folder Garmin\POI (usually) as whatever.gpi files.
Try another rom for your device, or using libmedix.so from some working SGS S Duos, and copy it in location where is libgmxt.so, then add suggested permissions, probably that first instructions wasn't ok translated from chinese.
It's manny times repeated no support for 320x480 resol. , lowest supported resol. is 640x480, and only for 1.49, not for 2.01, for 2.01 800x480, for 2.14 for now lowest is 960x540.
