Unbelievable... 37xx is still a shiny cool device in my imagination. And it's already discontinued.. Huh. What does "discontinued" mean?

Actually 37xx was older then any 2xx0, which are discontinued too. I think Garmin abandoned 37xx nearly 2 years ago, when they started developing 34xx.

Well discontinued doesn't mean no support anymore.
Here Garmin gave even support to a 5 year old 200W and exchanged to a refurbished one several times when there was a problem

    And so more...
It is a generalized information. I think what "discontinued" status means that the model is not produced likely. I had some examples for local model in particular for Finland.
Nuvi 2x5 was discontinued but Nuvi 245 Nordics is not...
Nuvi 1xxx was discontinued on Suomi market about year ago but Nuvi 1440WE is not. And even now when 1xxx discontinued in world by Garmin the Nuvi 1440WE is not discontinued in Finland...
Nuvi 1300T suddenly appear in Russia with City Navigator instead Roads of Russia...
Garmin, how much is 30 pieces of silver for Judas today? Were they worthy for crucifix of GPSPower?

'Horses for courses' my friend. Both Nuvi 255W & Nuvi 50 have the same display specs, as does Nuvi 40:
    Display resolution, WxH: 480 x 272 pixels
Display type: WQVGA color TFT with white backlight

I'm looking at a US hw 255W running SG/MY fw, a US 40>42 and a US 50 vanilla side by side all set on 100% brightness, running the same CNNT AU 2013.40 Navteq at the default Garmin AU location 6 Glade St Gladesville, NSW 2111. The two 4.3" devices appear to have similar resolution (as they should), but the 5" 50 appears a tad fuzzier than the other 2 (as it should).

Simply screen size 4.3" compared with 5", but maybe different maps could vary appearance too?

Do you follow to formula below when you did test?

The correct distance for viewing is 2.5 times the size of the screen.

And why did garmin did this? It is marketing! Why Toyota sell others and me LC200 what is like toys but only for Neil in Australia is produced LC70 for a real man in strict secrecy?

No, didn't follow any formulas, 'coz when it's stuck on your windscreen whether its got a 4.3, 5, 7 or 100 inch screen it will still be the same distance from your eyes in their normal driving position. So your point being? And what's the point about the 2 LandCruisers? LC70 is not exclusive to here. Are you being humourous and saying that the x0 and 2x5W are as dissimilar as the two Landies?
