I have download part 1 to part 5. Than i have unpack the files.
Than i have a .img file, but nor Nero, Daemon Tools or something else can read the file..... ;-( (My file is gmapsupp.img 465.152 KB)
For Example, if i put the .img file in Deamon Tools lite, i can´t acces the file. ;-(
Have i a wrong program?
Sorry, you are right.
He asked why always the other files are overwritten when unpacking Part 2-5 and he burned Part 1 with Nero. S my answer was just that it is basic knowledge of WinRar and PC and he just had to unpack Part 1, the others will be also unpacked.
Just copy the img file to your Garmin device in the Garmin folder. No burning to CD
If You already have Garmin Mobile XT in use, there is already a file named gmapsupp.img located on Your memory card. If You overwrite this file, You also overwrite Your main map.
So just rename this downloaded filt gmapsupp.img into gmapsup2.img (attention: not more than 8 digits, so be carefull and don't name it just gmapsupp2.img). After that copy it to Your memory card into Garmin folder.
And now, the topo map should appear and You will be able to use Your main map as well. The topo map works as an overlay.
Thank You very much for this fine upload, works quite fine!
I will use it on my forthcoming trip to Austria this week!
