can anyone help me, I cannot get my n95 8gig to activate its internal gps device on the garmin xt v5.0, plug and play version. I have reread all the links including the simple guide to setting up garmin....
i even created two files call " sw.unl and mapsupp.unl" using notepad and copy it to e:\garmin
also, should i have changed any of the settings in the notepad when creating the two files, sw.unl and mapsupp.unl. for example, when i created the mapsupp.unl file, i used the following options in notepad:
filename: MAPSUPP.UNL
save as type: text document (.txt)
encoding: ANSI
there are options to change both "save as type" and "encoding". should i leave them as default or changed it, if so what should it be changed to when creating both the sw.unl and mapsupp.unl
help please, thanks.
Got it to work. Here is what I did:Quote:

-Downloaded North America NT 2009 files in seperate folders
-Ran the the CNNANT2009update_ENU.mis file in each. (When running file in folders 2-5, I was asked to repair or delete. I chose repair)
-Started the Mapsouce program.
-Used Garmin Keygen v1.5 by Jetmouse for unlock code
-installed maps onto smart phone.
It is working like a charm
great thread,thanks
Took 3 days to download the 24 parts of North America NT2009 from Rapidshare. Unzipped them to grmamnt09.txt. Renamed to grmamnt09.zip. Try unzipping grmamnt09.zip and WinRar reports an unknown format or corrupted file.
Please help.
Hi,
Can someone help with how to unlock the map in mapsource?
Followed all of the instructions everything has gone fine, just can't work out the unlock step. Do I put my mobile phone unit ID into keygen and then the map ID: 325.
Then when I do have an unlock code, where do I put it? Map source only gives me the option to unlock online.
Thanks, love the forum!!
Thanks you...this mapsource version will make my route planning more easily on mapsource rather than using the gps
thank you ;)
Can this map be used with any Garmin device, or must it only be used with a smartphone or PDA?
Thanks!
these born for garmin device so I think they'r ok, but sorry not tested, just on nokia phones
update your mapsource version and use garmin unlocker for mapsourceQuote:
