What you run into is the limitation of your device. As the statement tells you: the route is too long. Divide the route up into smaller parts and you'll have no problem.

    @ gigidel

This is a common problem with Garmins, very long distance routes have memory limitations, but everything is OK at the end.
There is nothing wrong with your device, it happens to all Garmins and you can't do anything about it.
The device is going to calculate your route up to the point its memory is full. Then will draw a "direct line" to your destination. When you start driving this route, after some driving, more memory is freed and your Garmin is going to calculate the rest of the trip.

Here is a route of 2600 KM from my city to Barcelona, Spain. It gets stuck at 54% for a few seconds, then jumps to 99% and then I get the message of a long route.
The 3490 calculates the first 1900 KM up to around San Remo, Italy and then draws a "direct line" to Barcelona.
As I simulate the route, more info will be added because the memory is cleared from the via points and instructions that I have already passed.
You can see in LL screenshot that Barcelona is 547 KM away from the last instruction in a "direct line", but when later is calculated by the device, the actual route length from there to Barcelona is 731 KM (start of the "direct line" is just after Costarainera, Italy).

As an alternative on the new devices (from nuvi 3490 and greater) you can build a big route from segments through the trip tool sequentially. Add to route 1st point... - ... - n-th point - the end. New device is building the route for each segment separately. Sometimes it is working perfectly.
That will be see in trip review. At the beginning Nuvi will offer to really navigate into 1st point and it will calculate the next segments in percent simultaneously.

The older device have another logic. The first is must be the destination and only then you can add Via Points. So the first if no route to destination means that is no possibility to correct a route with Via Points. Even if it was success there is a more long calculation because after adding of each Via Point the whole route to destination will be recalculating.

NTU map on the nuvi 200 does not work right. The problem is on finding addresses. Nuvi 200 uses NT maps + SDcard up to 8 GB in size.
