    I have same problem , only hicking ,no bicking; I have open the 010-D1198-01.db with SQlite database browser it find 4433 datas , all have the same icon ? it should have 2 icons ? When choosing a "named trails are displayed in BaseCamp, only the beginning or the end (one point) of a trail is shown" as say Sergio2

    I compared the v4 db with v3 (Topo France v3) in SQLite browser and I have the strong impression that there is something wrong with this file. V3 shows all GR numbers and all acces-routes to a GR, v4 does contain the acces-routes but is missing all GR numbers!

    Just speculating: why is the version number of this map v4.01? Probably v4 had problems, and maybe it was related to the db file... do we have the incomplete db from v4?

    @Airwolfke

    It's better to have locked version because you know how it has been unlocked then ;

    some unlocked version you download can present surprises, but if you don't get used with unlocking, you can be confident with unlocked versions uploaded on GPSPower.net.

    @Mapperoni

    v3 and v4 SQL files contain both GR tracks :

    So sergio2,
    So if I take the unlocked version I can just copy the img file to my micro sd card,
    If I take the locked version I need to run the Process with gimgunlockMapSigPatch :

    Garmin Image Unlock gimgunlock up to v.0.03+MapSigPatch

    Right?

    For micro sd: I just copy the img to the root of the micro sd? Where should I put the db file? Just make a folder in the root with the name SQL/ and place the file in there?

    Thanks! (Been a way for a while, now finally bought 64s)

    @airwolfke: your conclusion about locked and unlocked maps is correct but never put a map img in the root of your SD card! Create a folder named 'Garmin' and put the img inside the Garmin folder. The SQL folder also goes inside the Garmin folder.

    Succes!

    Many thanks,
    works great on my nüvi 255w and now replace the previous Topo v3.00.
    It seems that routing is still weird especially in traffic roundabout.

    Even though a Topo has routing that doesn't make it suitable for urban or highway use. These maps are for offroaders and hikers, meant to be used in outdoor units rather than automotive devices. Just as you wouldn't expect a CN to guide you properly for bush-bashing or hiking it's not reasonable to expect a Topo to perform like a CN [and it can be downright dangerous as you've found].

    I think we can conclude now that Topo France v4 Pro has a serious problem with Active Routing. It just doesn't work both in Basecamp and a GPS. I suspect the problem is situated in the db file but I am not sure.

    The map itself is very nice and contains a lot of little additions (new buildings and footpaths I missed in v3) in the areas that I know very well from my vacations.

    I could get the .db file from another source and it's exactly the same than the one posted above byte by byte.
