garmindevice.xml contains device id and personal map codes and it's not safe to post it in public. Better to send it by pm.
Cloning a nuvi is possible, so don't share this file or device id in public.

    @Ditt63
That's Asian 2565? A version of US/EU 2595 + driving recorder. Take all additional files in Post #2 including ASR for 34xx, but not FourSquare. Don't bother with 3D building image gmap3d, the JCV files will work fine. Of course it's likely the Brazilian version in which case you don't need ASR.

To be 100% clear what i meant by 'all': install SID but not the others as said. Only install ASR if it's an Asian 2565 not if it's a local unit.

    SAM_D3568140A_JCV and BRA_D3599140A_JCV should work.

    Hello all,
I still have some questions after reading a lot of posts related with updating maps:
Let's take nuvi 2565 LT (BR version) for example when updating maps:
This model doesn't have 3D or voice command. So I disregard Gmap3D and ASR Files.
I copied the latest version of the map to the SD Card.
    Now the questions:
1- JCV - This file is linked with the map or with the nuvi model?
2- Should I delete the old JCV file from the .system?
Same questions for G2S, SQLite and SID.
Should I update them? / If positive should I delete them from .system?
Are those files linked to the nuvi or to the map?
I appreciate an expert answer. Tks in advance.

Both. Map version + Nuvi model
(you cant use old JCV version with new map version)
Different nuvi or other devices models may use different files.
2- Should I delete the old JCV file from the .system?
yes, for example, you can delete D3568130A.JCV and replace it with D3568140A.JCV
Same questions for G2S, SQLite and SID.
yes, for example, delete old D3154160A.G2S and replace with D3154170A.G2S.
Addition files are version dependant.(2016.10 addition files work with 2016.10 map only)
should I delete them from .system?
    Delete old versions.
Are those files linked to the nuvi or to the map?
Like for JCV, they are version dependant.
Reason is all addition files contain the FID of their related map, you cant use those files with map with different FID. More info here: [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]
Different devices models may use different addition files. Look at garmindevice.xml in your nuvi Garmin folder for supported files and their paths.

Thank you so much for sharing the SA map. Is there a gmapdem (elevation model) with it?

    Best regards,
    EstiColis
