    Anyone know when this will be released officially? I'm looking for the ASR files to complete the solution for my Kenwood DNN990HD.

    @emanuka
    If it's an NA 2557LM you'll only have to wait a matter of some days to get the official map anyway, but the short answer is yes.

    Your unit is capable of both Media Transfer Protocol and Mass Storage Mode like all recent Garmin auto devices. The gmapprom.img file, along with other files, is in .System which cannot be shown in MTP and is hidden by default Windows settings in MSM. See our comprehensive [Only registered and activated users can see links. ], scroll down to 'In your Garmin devices' and you'll see [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]. This is handy if you want to enter MSM automatically: [Only registered and activated users can see links. ].

    You could also put the new map on a microSD in x:\Garmin\gmapsupp.img or x:\Map\<any_name>.img and de-select the OEM map in MyMaps [From main page: Settings>Map & Vehicle>MyMaps]. That's safer than messing with the unit if you're not sure what your doing. Mustn't have two versions of the same map enabled simultaneously.
