Fellas, seriously, I'm here with ivagvoz: please share your experience with TMC/PhoneLink traffic with this map. I did all those tricks and tweaks with FID and other bits to crank my TMC receiver up to start decoding Here TMC, but so far I've managed to get nothing really useful, lot's of messages all over the map (fwiw, at significantly less speed compared to Navicom TMC dataflow) but quite a few on my region which is currently SPb. On the other hand I see reports all over those internets where people with OEM satnav and (ex-)Navteq maps are saying they get some traffic avoidance guides on their radios.

Any positive experience with that? Anybody?

    TIA,
    Zig

If you see Navicom and don't HERE as your Traffic Provider, you probably need to update your Traffic Provider list (database). It's an xml file available via Garmin Express or WebUpdater. I updated my Nuvi 3490 a couple of months ago and now I see both Navicom and HERE as my Traffic Providers.

As to me, I have an updated TrafficProvider.xml file and only Navicom is detected and listed by my nuvi as a provider.

Open TrafficProvider.xml with your browser and search for HERE Traffic (RU). If it's there and you don't see it in your Nuvi then I would say either you're out of area or something's wrong with your traffic receiver. If it's not there, then you need to update the file. Version 3.50 did not include HERE Traffic (RU), verison 4.10 (installed in my Nuvi) has it, a few lines down from НАВИКОМ ТРАФИК (RU).

Of course, in my version 4.10, HERE Traffic (RU) is also listed. What can be wrong with traffic receiver- Navicom Traffic well working, also I can see up to four stations in the developer information/traffic... (sorry don't remember exact name) which are transmitting HERE Traffic signal. However my nuvi can't hooked for these frequencies.

If you see those four stations listed on a service screen under Developer Info>Traffic Receiver Providers, this means your traffic receiver is picking up signals from those stations. Furthermore, next to the provider name you can read the actual frequency on which your receiver is picking up the signal, e.g, 088400 means 88.4 FM. So, as far as I'm concerned, don't worry, you're in business.
Just in case, make sure automatic search for stations in on.
