OK hello gurus.
I have mobile pc installed on laptop and have been using it for years with unlocked maps of the uk aus.
I unlocked the locked garmin topo v5 downloaded from here and it does not show when viewing map.
Looking into maps installed it says its there and does not say cant unlock map when first starts and loads maps.
Any ideas.... is it the basemap?
thanks in advance

You legend of course.
I new that i was just testing you... hehe
Whats different in the lite or is there a version i can use in mapsource and just trim it down to areas i want
Yeah right ... sure you knew ... Read from Post #6 [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] for explanation about 'lite' version.
Have a browse in the index for other options, there are installable versions but not official Garmin Topo: [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]. Getting OT here, so post in the map threads for more info.

Cheers mate thanks for the help
Post 21 and following moved to the proper thread.
You have to navigate to get to the good.
Galaxy S5 Kitkat 4.4.2 / Nuvi1200->1250 / Nuvi3790T->34xx / Nuvi 2200 / Nuvi 66 / Oregon 600
The full version works very well now on my Nuvi once I popped it onto a 16Gig card...
The Lite version works better on the Etrex where street navigation is not needed...
Both are excellent if anyone needs a 'faux' 3D reference.
Ok, I've download the file now can't get it to work.
I unlocked it but the .img file won't work on anything, when I drag/drop into gimgunlock.exe it just tells me it "skipping plain subfile......" converting? What am I doing wrong. I download unlocker from here [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]
I am wanting to use it on basecamp and Map source.
Cheers
Ant

[Only registered and activated users can see links. ] will unlock this map no problem.
The map from post #1 has MS Flag of '0' making it visible and usable in BaseCamp etc. If you've downloaded from another post the flag could be set as '1', so it would then be invisible. Check it in [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] and change it if necessary.

Thanks for the reply Neil. Yes the MS=0 and I did download Post #1.
I've gone into basecamp but can't find anywhere to import the .img file? I know I must be not doing something but what?
I am trying to just use the maps without attaching a GPS as I don't own a Garmin yet.
Cheers
Ant
